AI orchestration is the control layer that coordinates multiple AI-driven tasks or agents across a workflow. Instead of one model doing everything, an orchestrator assigns jobs, passes results between steps, manages state, and decides what happens next. In cyber security, that can mean automating recon, target triage, payload generation, and follow-up actions as a chained process.
This matters because orchestration turns isolated AI tools into a scalable operational pipeline. Attackers can use it to run many parallel tasks with less manual effort, making phishing, scanning, and access operations faster and more persistent. Defenders also use orchestration in SOAR platforms, alert enrichment, incident response, and abuse detection to reduce response time and handle repetitive work. The security risk is not the model itself, but how well the workflow is controlled, logged, sandboxed, and restricted from unsafe actions.
