A bundled offering is a security or software product included with a broader package instead of sold as a separate tool. In enterprise software, this can lower licensing cost, speed procurement, and make adoption easier because organizations already pay for or manage the parent platform. In the browser-security market, a bundled control set can arrive as part of an existing endpoint, identity, or productivity suite.
Bundling matters in cyber security because deployment friction often decides whether a control is used at all. A feature that is “free” or already licensed may be easier to roll out than a standalone product, but it can also be less flexible or less deep than a dedicated platform. Defenders use bundled offerings to improve baseline protection quickly; attackers may try to abuse the trust and reach of widely deployed bundled software, making its update path and permission model important to review.
