Channel orchestration

The coordination of multiple delivery paths so notices move through the right route in a controlled way.

Channel orchestration is the controlled coordination of multiple delivery paths so a message, alert, or notice uses the right route at the right time. In technical systems, that can mean deciding whether a record goes by email, app notification, portal message, SMS, or paper, and which system is authoritative for delivery status and audit logs. Good orchestration reduces duplication, confusion, and routing errors.

In cyber security, orchestration matters because attackers often abuse fragmented channels. A phishing campaign may send one message by email and a follow-up by text or a fake portal to make the request look legitimate. Defenders use orchestration to centralize notifications, enforce identity checks, preserve traceability, and make sure sensitive alerts cannot be diverted to an untrusted path. When channels are not coordinated, users may receive inconsistent instructions, and that gap can be used for fraud, social engineering, or missed incident response.
