A chatbot platform is a service for hosting or delivering conversational content through an AI assistant or similar chat interface. In cyber security, the platform’s familiar look and interactive responses can act as a trust cue, but they do not prove that its instructions or linked content are safe.
In social-engineering attacks such as ClickFix, attackers may imitate chatbot-style content or use AI-themed pages to persuade people to copy and run commands. This shifts risk from simply viewing a webpage to executing instructions on a device. Treat commands shown by a chatbot or installer prompt as untrusted: verify them through official channels, and use endpoint monitoring to detect unusual shell or script activity following browser interactions.
