Cybercrime tools

Software or services designed to support phishing, fraud, intrusion, or data theft.

Cybercrime tools are software, scripts, or online services that help criminals carry out phishing, fraud, intrusion, credential theft, or data exfiltration. They can include phishing kits, malware loaders, credential checkers, botnets, and marketplaces that sell access or stolen data.

These tools matter because they lower the skill needed to commit abuse and make attacks faster, cheaper, and easier to scale. A single operator can use them to launch convincing phishing pages, automate login attempts, test stolen cards, or package stolen credentials for resale. In practice, defenders often see these tools as part of a criminal supply chain: one tool steals data, another validates it, and another turns it into account takeover or payment fraud. Defenses focus on reducing their value through multi-factor authentication, anti-phishing controls, monitoring for credential abuse, and rapid password rotation when data is exposed.
