Dexterity is a machine’s fine motor control: the ability to grasp, move, and use tools or irregular objects with precision. In humanoid robotics, it is what turns a machine from a moving body into a useful worker, because factories depend on reliable manipulation, stable force control, and quick recovery from small surprises.
In cyber security, dexterity matters whenever software, sensors, and actuators are part of a physical system. An attacker who spoofs sensor readings, injects bad commands, or disrupts control software can cause a robot to miss a grip, drop a tool, or damage equipment. Defenses focus on authenticated control links, sensor validation, anomaly detection, and fail-safe motion planning so the machine can keep operating safely even when the environment is noisy or hostile.
