An identity profile export is a downloadable set of user-account records, often including names, usernames, roles, group memberships, permissions, contact fields, and status flags. In some systems it may also include reporting relationships or application assignments, making it easy to map who can access what.
This matters because attackers value identity data almost as much as files. A profile export can reveal administrators, privileged service accounts, departmental structure, and weak separation of duties, helping an intruder choose targets for phishing, privilege escalation, or lateral movement. Defenders treat bulk identity exports as sensitive data: they restrict who can generate them, log every export, alert on unusual volume, and minimize exposed fields. If a portal or admin console leaks an identity profile export, the result can be a fast road map of the organization rather than a single stolen account.
