Included services are extra features bundled with a product or plan beyond the core function. In telecom, that can mean add-ons such as cloud storage, spam filtering, roaming benefits, parental controls, or VPN access. In security terms, these extras matter because they change the real value of a service and may also change the risk profile: a plan with weak bundled protections can leave users exposed, while a plan with security features can reduce common threats.
Attackers often benefit when users assume every bundle is safe or necessary. Unused extras can expand the attack surface, create extra accounts, or request more permissions than needed. Defenders use included services deliberately, choosing features like anti-phishing filters, device protection, logging, and backup to harden endpoints and accounts. The key idea is to review what is actually included, separate useful defenses from marketing noise, and disable anything that is not needed.
