An invite-only team is a collaboration workspace that admits members only through an explicit invitation or an authorized membership action. Its membership rules help keep team messages, files, and other shared information limited to approved users.
In cyber security, this is an authorization boundary, not an authentication method. A user may successfully sign in through SAML or another identity provider without being entitled to join every team. If a flaw bypasses the invitation requirement, unauthorized users may gain access to team-visible information. Defenders should apply platform security updates, review membership and team-join events, and ensure that identity verification is checked separately from permission to join.
