Lumma Stealer is information-stealing malware designed to collect sensitive data from infected devices. Stealers commonly target saved browser credentials, session data, and other personal or organizational information. Stolen data can enable account takeover, fraud, or further access to a victim’s systems.
In real attacks, Lumma may be delivered through deceptive websites, downloads, or command chains that trick users into launching malware. Its name in a campaign report does not prove that a device was infected or that data was successfully stolen. Defenders can reduce risk by blocking suspicious execution paths, monitoring unusual processes and network activity, and teaching users not to run commands prompted by unexpected web pages.
