Magento CMS is the content-management layer in Magento (now also known as Adobe Commerce) that lets authorized users create and update storefront pages and reusable content blocks. It separates much of the editable site content from the application’s core code, making routine changes possible without modifying the software itself.
This layer matters for security because editable content can affect what visitors’ browsers receive. If an account or system that can manage CMS content is compromised, an attacker may insert unauthorized JavaScript or alter links in a block, even when the underlying platform is patched. Defenders should restrict administrative access, review change logs, monitor important blocks for unexpected edits, and inspect external script references alongside code and vulnerability scans.
