Management review

A formal leadership review of system performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.

A management review is a formal assessment by an organization’s leadership of how well a management system is working. It considers performance, risks, changing conditions, and opportunities for improvement, then helps leaders decide what actions, resources, or priorities are needed.

In cyber security and continuity planning, reviews can assess whether recovery plans, supplier controls, and incident communications are effective. Leaders may examine measures such as recovery times or unresolved risks and assign owners to address weaknesses. Regular, evidence-based reviews help expose gaps before an incident tests the organization’s ability to respond and recover.
