Organization Schema is a type of structured data, usually in JSON-LD or microdata, that labels a website as belonging to a specific company, institution, or brand. It can include the official name, logo, homepage, contact details, and related profiles such as sameAs links. Search systems use it to disambiguate entities and connect pages to a trusted organization identity.
In cyber security, this matters because machine-readable identity helps defend against impersonation, cloned sites, and confusion in search or AI answers. A clean schema profile can support brand verification and reduce the chance that users are routed to a lookalike domain. But markup is not a guarantee: if pages are blocked, inconsistent, or contradicted by other sources, systems may ignore it. Security teams should keep schema aligned with public facts and crawlable pages.
