Persistent project record

Stored task history or files that let an AI workflow continue across sessions.

A persistent project record is stored task history, notes, instructions, or files that an AI workflow can reuse across sessions. Unlike temporary conversation context, it preserves selected information so a later session or agent can continue work without starting over.

This persistence can support useful coordination, but it also creates a security surface. Records may retain sensitive data, stale instructions, or untrusted content that later tools treat as reliable context. In an attack workflow, project files can help preserve reconnaissance and pass tasks between sessions; in defense, access controls, logging, retention limits, and human review help prevent misuse. Treat persisted content as data to validate, not instructions to trust automatically.
