Rayfin

The SDK and CLI foundation used to build Fabric Apps and connect them to Fabric services.

Rayfin is the SDK and command-line foundation used to build Fabric Apps and connect them to Microsoft Fabric services. In practice, it gives developers the tools to create, configure, and automate apps that run inside Fabric’s governed environment.

From a security perspective, Rayfin matters because SDKs and CLIs often become the point where identities, secrets, and deployment permissions are handled. If those credentials are stolen or misused, an attacker may be able to create apps, change configurations, or reach Fabric data and services that should be restricted. Defenders should treat Rayfin workflows like any other privileged development path: enforce least privilege, protect tokens, review package and script sources, and monitor CLI activity for unusual automation or access patterns.
