Telematic meeting

a meeting conducted through digital communication tools.

A telematic meeting is a meeting held through digital communication tools such as video conferencing, chat, or collaborative platforms. In public administration and corporate governance, it lets people deliberate, vote, and record decisions without being physically present.

In cyber security, the term matters because the meeting platform is only one part of trust. Real controls also need identity checks, authorization, quorum verification, and a reliable audit trail for minutes and votes. Attackers may exploit weak links with stolen accounts, join links shared beyond the intended audience, or tampered records. Defenders reduce risk with strong authentication, access controls, logging, time-stamped records, and clear procedures that define who may participate and how decisions are validated.
